Association for Progress, Education and Lobbying – PEL Skopje hosted the workshop for the project “Promoting equality through gender sensitive journalism and blogging” in Shtip, North Macedonia from 5th-11th December 2019.
The project is financed by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission and coordinated by Centar za mlade Rakovica.
During the workshop the participants had the opportunity to learn more about the connection between the gender equality and the media.
They also had the chance to hear more about the situation related to the topic in North Macedonia from local experts in the media and gender field. They also met with the ombudsman of the municipality of Stip, with whom they discussed the most common cases of gender inequality in our country.
They also created some videos for raising awareness among the wider population, and wrote blogs related to the same issue.
